Canadian income tax and your taxable income

If you are not the government, government agent or employee of the government at any level, the correct answer to your taxable income on your income tax form is zero!

The International Covenant on civil and Political Rights Article 47 states that “Nothing in the present covenant shall be interpreted as impairing the inherent right of all peoples to enjoy and utilize full and freely their natural wealth and resources.”

This article is showing that there is nothing in this covenant that allows a State party to force you to contribute any of your natural wealth or resources to the government.
